ST. Thomas More School

The STM Preschool Program (three and four year olds) believes a Christian foundation provides the basis for all learning.  The primary goals are to develop in STM’s children a positive self-image and to foster independence and a spirit of cooperation.  The curriculum includes Religion, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.  On specially assigned days students are introduced to Art, Music, the Library, and Physical Education.  The entire curriculum is developed to provide children with a strong foundation as they prepare to enter kindergarten.  Teachers in the STM Preschool Program are enthusiastic, experienced, and highly qualified in Early Child hood Education.  The STM Preschool Program is an integral part of St. Thomas More Parish School and is fully accredited through it.  All teachers have a degree in Early Childhood Education and have extensive classroom experience The staff and administration participate in the Houston Area Association for the Education of Young Children, the National Association of Education of Young Children, and the National Catholic Education Association.

5 Day Program:
Half Day       8:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. or
Full Day       8:00 a.m. -   3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday
                   8:00 a.m. -   2:00 p.m. Friday

3 Day Program (M-W-F):
Half Day       8:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. or
Full Day       8:00 a.m. -   3:00 p.m. Monday through Wednesday
                   8:00 a.m. -   2:00 p.m. Friday

4 Year Old Program
5 Day Program:
Half Day      8:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.11:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Full Day      8:00 a.m.  -  3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday
                  8:00 a.m.  -  2:00 p.m. Friday

3 Day Program (M-W-F):
Half Day       8:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. or 11:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Full Day       8:00 a.m. -  3:00 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and
                   8:00 a.m. -  2:00 p.m. Friday

Extended Day available for preschool students:
                   7:00 a.m. - 7:50 a.m. and/or
                   3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 
                   2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

All children must be toilet trained before entering STM Preschool.
